Our Green Policy
The Doctor’s Inn has taken extra steps to significantly reduce our environmental impact and we practice the conservation that is a part of our Adirondack community of Saranac Lake. Because our rooms are part of an inhabited home, there is a low carbon footprint in offering them to you. We use eco-friendly household products, recycled toilet paper, compact fluorescent light bulbs, and energy efficient appliances. We have installed an on-demand hot water heater and have insulated our old but very special home. We compost, recycle and hang out laundry to dry.
