The Doctor's Out

An Adirondack "Camp" is less a description of a building than a definition of the life that goes on around  the retreat.  Camps range from modest tents to grand estates, having in common a  sympathy with the surrounding wilderness.  More modest than a Great Camp and greater than a modest tent, The Doctor's Out is a three-bedroom Adirondack Camp on the shores of Upper Saranac Lake.

The Doctor's Out affords modern comfort with an unpretentious rustic charm that has evolved through the years of summer camp life, including a dock and boat house, as well as an outside fire pit for the traditional campfire.  Swimming can be done right off the dock or there is a sandy beach common to the  members of the Saranac Shores Association.

This camp, on land that was once a part of the Stanley (of the tools) Great Camp, has an open plan kitchen/dining/living room. that opens to a porch overlooking a pristine shoreline. A perfect retreat for a couple or a small family.
